Hoërskool Warmbad bied twee soorte Drama geleenthede vir leerders:
Groeps drama/ Eksperimentele drama: 16 – 30 leerders
Toneel : 6-12 leerders
Groepdrama is ’n kreatiewe geleentheid waar leerders hul emosies en talente op die verhoog kan uitleef – of hulle nou in die kollig is of deel vorm van die ensemble. Leerders neem die rol van ’n karakter aan, verdiep hul in die wese daarvan en speel met emosies op ’n manier wat die gehoor laat “oe en aa”.
As deel van ’n groep leer drama-leerders mekaar beter ken en ontdek hulle nuwe fasette van hulself. Hulle groei, ontwikkel en bou selfvertroue terwyl hulle saam skep en speel. Drama is leer deur doen – en veral, dit is speeltyd!
Leerders kry ook die geleentheid om aan buitekompetisies deel te neem, soos die ATKV, NEA, Tshwane Youth Arts Festival en die Naboom Woordfees.
Oefeninge begin: Woensdag, 22 April
Tyd: 15:00 – 16:00 (en soos verdere geleenthede ontstaan)
Die drama is in Afrikaans, maar enige leerder is welkom om deel te neem. Daar is geen oudisies nie – ALMAL is welkom!
Drama Group – Where Creativity Takes Centre Stage
At our school, the Drama is a vibrant space where learners can explore their creativity, build confidence, and express themselves through performance. Whether you dream of acting on stage, helping behind the scenes, or simply want to try something new, the Drama Club welcomes everyone with a passion for storytelling and the arts.
Drama provides learners with the opportunity to develop important skills such as public speaking, teamwork, creativity, and confidence. Through fun rehearsals, improvisation games, and performance activities, members learn how to bring characters and stories to life while working together as a team.
Throughout the year, the Drama participates in a variety of exciting activities. These may include school productions and special performances at school events. Members also learn about different aspects of theater, such as stage presence, voice projection, character development, and basic stage production.
More than just performing, Drama is a place where friendships are formed and learners discover new talents they never knew they had. It encourages learners to step out of their comfort zones, support one another, and celebrate the joy of creativity.
If you enjoy acting, storytelling, or simply want to be part of an energetic and supportive group, the Drama is the perfect place to shine.

We host auditions during the course of term 1. The audition piece will be given to any student who wants to participate.

Redenaars
By ons skool glo ons dat elke leerder ’n stem het wat gehoor moet word. Redenaars bied aan leerders die geleentheid om hul denke, kreatiwiteit en selfvertroue te ontwikkel deur middel van redenaarskompetisies.
– 🎤 Wat is Redenaars?
Dit is ’n plek waar leerders hul menings en idees op ’n gestruktureerde, oortuigende manier deel. Hulle leer om argumente logies op te bou, bewyse te gebruik en hul gehoor te inspireer.

Orators
Orators is our school’s public speaking society where confident voices are built and bold ideas take the stage. Open to all high school learners, we sharpen skills in speech writing, persuasive argument, impromptu speaking, and performance poetry through friendly in-house competitions and external online competitions. Whether you’re preparing for a classroom speech or dreaming of the podium, or just want to beat stage fright, Orators gives you the tools, coaching, and audience to find your voice. We believe every learner has a story worth hearing — we just help you tell it so the back row listens.
Internal competitions take place in March.
